Elizabeth Higgins, Ph.D., President of GlycoSolutions, worked at Genzyme Corporation for ten years where she was responsible for carbohydrate analysis of their protein therapeutics. Her group worked on Ceredaseâ, Cerezymeâ, ATIII, FabrazymeÔ and Thyrogenâ. Her work in analytical carbohydrate chemistry has supported filings in the USA, Europe and Japan as well as additional countries throughout the world.
As well, as lead scientist for the characterization sections of the FabrazymeÔ filing in the USA and Europe, she was responsible for the Degradation Pathway study, a Scale-up consistency study and additional biochemical characterization of process qualification lots. She authored the technical reports detailing these studies and wrote the characterization sections of the BLA and MAA filings.
